During our 2020 Summer Institute, collaborative teams of EBRPSS teachers, Amped Community Educators, and youth from five schools across the district worked together to answer our driving question "What are the conditions of student and educator well-being, connectedness, and engagement as civic-minded problem solvers?"
We Amplify youth Voices
We listen to and value young people's perspectives by creating ways for our community to collectively hear and celebrate young people's voices.
We Amplify civic engagement
We invite young people to identify critical issues within their communities, to research and write about those issues, and to collaborate with others to take civic action.
We amplify human Connections
Young people are more than test scores. We center community, culture, and relationships that restore life and collective joy to learning. As a result, students in Humanities Amped classrooms are 22% more likely than their peers to graduate from high school and 21% more likely to pass state tests.
